Mellow Meadows farm & rescue

Gumby is a sweet goat who has a silly and friendly personality, with white fur.

When Gumby was born he couldn’t stand that good so he came to Mellow Meadows. At first he couldn’t eat from the bottle very well but he began to get better over time.

Now Gumby helps make the house fun when he comes in the house to snuggle. He also likes going to events, going on walks, and eating treats that we cook in the Mudpie Kitchen.

Now the sweet boy is good as new and having a happy life!

(Bio Update: After a rough start to life, then breaking a leg and living in the house till after recovery, Gumby is finally living out in the barn and grazing the meadows with the regular goat/sheep herd.)

Sassafras was an orphaned goat, given to us at about 2 weeks old when her first owner had to return to school and could no longer provide her with the care she needed.

Sassafras is buddies and stall-mates with Gumby. She meets no enemies and is afraid of no one, sneaking up to “share” breakfast with Duncan the horse or Polly the cow.

Aptly named, Sassy keeps us on her toes with her escapescapades! Her sweet and sassy attitude is endearing to all who meet her.

Triscuit and her daughter Kleo were being sold at an auction – no one wanted the sick mom, just the cute baby, but we outbid them all in order to bring this pair home together. Triscuit was emaciated and had a severe upper respiratory infection, including a case of pink eye that had her eyes so hazy that we didn’t know if she’d ever see again. Kleo had a light infection, but was never as sick as her mom.

Weeks of antibiotics, dewormers, and eye treatment finally got momma Triscuit and her baby feeling better. Triscuit’s vision returned! Months of quality nutrition got her plumped up, and now this sweet pair spends their days grazing the meadows with the rest of the herd!
